Cycles abroad open in the autumn and many close by Christmas. Pick where and when you want to start, and here is the whole chain backwards from it.

Why people miss it

US recruiting for a summer internship largely happens in the winter and spring before it. Recruiting abroad for the same summer largely happens in the autumn before that — up to a year ahead, and often rolling, so a late application competes for seats that are already gone.

Which means the useful question in March is not "where can I still apply" but "what opens in August, and what do I need ready by then".

The Work Holiday Programme is capped at 2,000 pass holders at any one time. MOM does not publish how much of that is currently taken, so nobody can tell you whether it is full — including us.

MOM's list of acceptable institutions is published as a sample, not a complete list. We will not tell you your university is or is not on it. Read it yourself, and remember the other way through: a placement paying S$3,000 a month qualifies either way.
